Photo-Worthy Spots on the Central Coast

You don’t have to be a professional photographer to capture the beautiful scenery that the Central Coast has to offer. From the cliffs of Montaña De Oro to the rolling hills of the Cuesta Ridge Botanical Area, it’s hard to beat our views. On your next trip to the Central Coast, make sure to check out these photo-worthy spots!

In Avila Beach…

Pirate’s Cove

This beach is true to its name, as a small, enclosed and private beach that you have to hike a bit to enjoy. For some elevated views, check out the cliffs nearby where the trail forks (beach to the left, cliffs to the right). If this excursion seems exciting enough to you, then try out Pirate’s Cove next time you’re in Avila!

The Beach

Avila Beach is a local favorite! Boasting a beautiful shoreline and pier, this quaint little beach town has so much to offer. The sun sets beautifully behind a ridge just north of the beach, making this the perfect place to spend an evening. When you call it a night, stay with us at Avila Lighthouse Suites, just steps away from the sandy shores!

In Pismo Beach…

Oceano Dunes

Oceano Dunes looks like it’s from another world. Miles of pristine sand dunes wind along the coast just south of Pismo State Beach. If you want to make your friends think you’re in the middle of the Sahara Desert, this is a must see!

Montaña De Oro

Just outside of SLO in Los Osos, Montaña De Oro State Park winds along the coast with large cliffs, secluded beaches, and beautiful eucalyptus trees draping over a winding road. Some of our favorite coastal views are here at Montaña De Oro!

In Paso Robles…

Calcareous Vineyards

In the heart of Paso Robles wine country, Calcareous Vineyards’ tasting room sits atop a hill overlooking beautiful rolling hills and countless vineyards. With a spacious, open-air tasting room and large patio, Calcareous is the perfect place to end the day and get that beautiful wine sipping photo-op. When the sun sets, and the day comes to a close, rest up at the Paso Robles Inn! Click here to book your stay now.

Cuesta Ridge Botanical Area

One of the most unique and beautiful views in the area, the Cuesta Ridge Botanical Area can prove challenging to get to, but that view is well worth it. Located down a remote road at the top of the Cuesta Grade, Cuesta Ridge Botanical Area has panoramic views of almost the entire central coast with the ocean in the distance. We suggest either hiking or using a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get here, as most of the road is unpaved and has large holes. Don’t let the challenge stop you! The view is worth it.
