Where To Get Your Pumpkin Fix On The Central Coast
One of the best parts of fall? Pumpkins galore! From pumpkin carving to pumpkin-flavored treats, we can’t get enough of all the fall fun. There’s so much to do and explore on the Central Coast, but we’ve narrowed it down to just a few ways to get your pumpkin fix this season. We’re talking pumpkin spice and everything nice!
Pick A Pumpkin At Avila Valley Barn
Keep it classic and get your fix by picking your very own pumpkin right off the farm. Tucked away in beautiful Avila Beach, Avila Valley Barn features a wide variety of pumpkins and gourds for your choosing. After you find the perfect pumpkin, stick around to interact with barnyard animals, go on a hayride or grab a scoop of their homemade ice cream or fudge. After a fun-filled day at the barn, kick back and relax at Avila Lighthouse Suites, where you’ll be just steps from the ocean.
Grab A Pumpkin Spice Latte (Or Make Your Own)
Is it even fall if you didn’t drink a pumpkin spice latte? We’re big fans of the Starbucks drink, but also recommend scouting out your favorite local coffee shop to see if they’ve got the seasonal flavor on their menu. The great thing about the Central Coast is that you can take your latte to go and stop at one of the many picturesque places to drink it. If you’re throwing an autumn-themed gathering, make your own PSL and spike it with some coffee liqueur to create a fun party drink your guests will rave about.
Eat A Meal With Pumpkin In It
Each month The Steakhouse at the Paso Robles Inn features a local ingredient, of course, this month it had to be pumpkin! Sourced from Jack Creek Farms, The Steakhouse features pumpkin in their breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert menus. Savor the delicious taste of pumpkin in French toast, soup, chicken and waffles, seared trout or a special spiced brown butter cake that will certainly satisfy your craving. Food coma after all that eating? Book a room at the Paso Robles Inn and take in the historic charm!
Go To Pumpkins In The Park
This free event will take place from 10 am – 1 pm at Dinosaur Caves Park in Shell Beach. The best part of this family-friendly activity is that the first 500 people will receive a free pumpkin to decorate! There will also be a costume contest, games, crafts, bounce houses and more. You won’t want to miss out on all the pumpkin fun! If you need somewhere to stay Pismo Lighthouse Suites and Shore Cliff Hotel are just down the street and ready to keep the seasonal excitement going.
We love that the Central Coast has so many opportunities to embrace autumn and hope you’ll take advantage of these perfectly pumpkin activities!
