Central Coast Cider Festival!
The Central Coast has festivals for wine, beer, and craft beer, and now we’ve got a festival for local Cider! The vision of Neil Collins, the co-owner of Bristol’s Cider, Central Coast Cider Festival is debuting on Saturday, May 7th. The festival will take place in Atascadero at the Pavilion on the Lake.
Hard cider is generally defined as an alcoholic beverage made from the fermented juices of apples or pears, and the drink has become very popular in the last few years! Everyone is loving the traditional, sweet taste of fruit-infused cider with a kick. A sponsor of this event, See Canyon Hard Cider, says that drinking their cider is like biting into a crisp, tart, apple – the perfect taste to relax with on a sunny spring day. Other cider companies that are sponsoring this event include Tin City Hard Apple cider and Jean Marie Cidery, and the variety of their drinks is promising! Be part of the movement and part of the first Cider Festival on the Central Coast.
What will this festival consist of? There will be tastings of over 20 small craft beer producers in the area, as well as an English pig roast dinner and some live music. Go home with a souvenir pint glass to remember the great food, drink, and festival!
This festival is just over a month away, but Early Bird tickets are still for sale until March 31st! Buy your ticket for $50 – which includes the tasting, dinner, and the band – before the price goes up by $10 on April first. Visit the festival’s website to learn more, or get up-to-date information and photos on their Facebook page.
