SLO Film Fest at Home

It goes without saying, we all have a little bit more time at home these days. Instead of binge-watching The Office for the third time, why not watch some films with a special connection to our very own backyard here on the Central Coast? Review the list below and let us know if you’ve visited these iconic spots, or just seen them on the big screen!

Starring Johnny Depp, Keira Knightly, and Orlando Bloom, this third installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean series was nominated for two academy awards. Despite the title, this film wasn’t shot in the Caribbean at all – it was actually filmed right up Highway 101 at the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes just outside of Pismo Beach. You can watch this movie on Amazon Prime Video, Youtube, or iTunes. Then, start planning your own adventure to the dunes and stay close to the fun at our oceanfront resorts, Pismo Lighthouse Suites or Shore Cliff Hotel
